Conductor Nicholas McGegan led the Chicago Symphony Orchestra and Chorus in Handel’s landmark oratorio, Messiah, marking a beloved holiday tradition throughout the Chicago area and the world. One of the work’s signature themes, “For unto us a Child is born,” is a brilliant feature for the Chicago Symphony Chorus, which reunited with the Orchestra for the first time since February 2020 in these performances.
