Daniel Sabzghabaei - At any rate II. “what remains”
Featured Videos • 14-Aug-2023
At any rate II. “what remains” was selected in a national call for scores by the Fellows of the Civic Orchestra of Chicago in 2023. This work investigates the first record of traditional Persian music ever published: Volkstümlicher Gesang – Persia, released in 1931. The singing string quartet and persistent spinning of the noisy record player act as a space for reflection on those who’ve come before and what they’ve left behind – a love letter.
